First, I am a single Black mother, so I’m definitely not the right person for you to have unleashed this ignorant response on. Blaming unwed Black parents for bringing this on ourselves is just as harmful to the narrative.

I suggest you read Peter Edelman’s So Rich, So Poor, to understand how unwed Black parents are yet another product of systemic racism and generational poverty.
