This situation isn’t isolated to victims of sexual assault and rape, unfortunately. It happens in cases of domestic violence and abuse as well. We have got to stop protecting the perpetrators of violent crime more than their victims. Victim blaming has gotten so out of control — people are dying. And yet, we allow the revictimization to continue.
